Exploring the Magic of Six Portals with Donnalouise

Donnalouise from the For the Love of Puzzles YouTube channel brought together a group of dedicated puzzlers to take on Six Portals, and the result was such a joy to watch. As the puzzle came together piece by piece, Donnalouise interviewed me, with the recorded conversation playing split screen alongside the entire puzzling experience. Seeing the artwork slowly emerge while talking about its creation felt incredibly fitting.

In our conversation, we talk about how I got my start as a puzzle illustrator, how Centernia connects across my work, the different creative mediums I work in, and the unique challenges that come with designing art specifically for puzzles. Of course, we also dive into the process of bringing Ravensburger’s 7,000 piece Six Portals to life, from concept to final print.
